Just north of Gorman off the 5 freeway is the town of Fraizer Park.  As you exit Fraizer Park Mountain road (5 north from Los Angeles) take a left and drive up the mountain and veer left at Cuddy Valley Road (about 7 miles) Take Cuddy Valley Road up the mountain.  It is about 10 miles to the Mcgill campground.  Drive further up the mountain road for stunning views and hiking trails within the Mt Pinos Recreation area.  Temperature is about 15-20 degrees less than the Los Angeles basin.  The scenery and views in this local forest are amazing.  For more information on reservations visit:
