Although the La Jolla Indian campground is incredible for camping, the main feature is the river. You can bring your own tube or rent an inner tube and enjoy a relaxing and sometimes wild adventure on the river. Water socks are recommended, as the river is quite rocky.
Try the town of Julian for a fantastic side trip. And don’t forget to visit the Dudley Bakery (Santa Ysabel) for awesome raisin date nut bread or The Julian Pie Company for super awesome and amazing pie. My favorite flavors are Boysenberry Apple, Pecan, Strawberry Rhubarb, Apple Mountain Berry and Raspberry Apple. And even better is to pick up the pie and eat while you camp.
Eat Pie, Camp, Hop in a Inner Tube and drink a little in between. Just remember No Glass Allowed! And make sure that your campfire is out. Those are the rules. How was your adventure to “The Hole”?
