Planning a camping trip was no different. Because of traffic, we could not be as active as we would have liked. Many times we would want to go on a hike or meet a friend for dinner but would say no, knowing that the bad traffic in the LA could mean a 4 hour roundtrip, even if we were to go for a relatively short distance.
Now that I am in Colorado, I want to plan new and exciting trips and adventures. We will occasionally visit California for camping or wine festivals; however Camping Fantastic is now primarily based in Colorado. This is an exciting change because it means many new discoveries for us that I look forward to sharing with my audience. I would like to plan different adventures focusing on the themes of Camping Fantastic, which are: Eat, Drink, Camp, Explore. This means more than just camping. For those that are based in Colorado, you can join me for a beer at a local pub or tag along on our adventures. If you are not aware, we have a private adventure club for the loyal Camping Fantastic fans that seek adventure. If you would like to be invited, just drop me a message on our Facebook page. We strive to plan an event at least once a month and many more once we expand. As we celebrate a new start in Colorado, we look forward to making you part of the adventure. A few activities that I look forward to planning this year are:
Colorado camping
Backpacking trips
Local hikes
Wilderness survival training
Metro pub crawl (pub crawl only using public transportation)
Colorado wine tasting
Meetups at local restaurants or bars
Summer and winter events
Wine tasting in Paso Robles, CA
Wine in the Pines in Pine Mountain Club, CA
South American wine tasting trip
And of course we are open to suggestions. What would you like to see more of? How can Camping Fantastic make your 2014 a year full of adventure, discovery, and excitement? Let us know!
